Final Decision

Have been looking at rebreathers seriously for the last two years and finely made a purchase. Living in South Georgia with caves within two miles of my house I wanted a unit that fit my type and style of diving.
I have (even though I don't feel old) been diving since 1965 and the tanks started putting on weight. Now do side-mount for the caves but doing trimix side-mount dives off a boat was a pain. Went to DEMA to see the new equipment and meet the representives plus had a long talk with Tom Mount about rebreathers.
After a good look at most of units I decided on the Hammerhead CCR but not before I meet with Jakup of Golem Gear at Mills Pond for some answers about the 3.8 pound Radial Scrubber.
Being satisfied with the answers I called Kevin of Juergensen Marine and ordered the unit with a large canister but the smaller scrubber and Dive Rite first stages. I don't do long exploration dives anymore and would rather dump the absorbent at the end of the day. Special thanks go out to Mark Nix and Gregg Stanton for having patience with my many questions.

Congrats on your purchase! I have been absolutely thrilled with mine thus far! Welcome to the small but quickly growing HH CCR family!

Fred,

Happy to help! Sorry we missed each other when you came by the house. Hopefully we can get together for some cave diving after you get your rig and get certified.

Dive Safe!
