![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | General question: dry gloves system Hi Guys, A general enquiry to you cold water divers. I'm after a dry glove system (other than DUI zipgloves and separate dry gloves with dry seal). I'd like it user friendly, compact and no need to cut the suit to install. What's out there? Best Philippe |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sorry, Phillipe, I use the zip-seals on my deep-diving suit, and the suit I use for PSD has the latex wrist seals. We use Kevlar gloves for that. Rob

I tried a bunch of different types having lived in Norway and dived in Belgian quarries, this is my personal favorite...http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaver...tailsGlove.htm YMMV, but the advantages to me are: - easy to install - once installed, practically any rubber glove will do - could vary the inner insulation thickness as you please |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Living in Texas does not require extreme cold water gloves. However, I wear Sea soft gloves down to 52 degrees F all by themselves. I tend to put a concrete or dishwater glove under it for some dives to stop the feel of water. I add thinsulate liners for anything more. Nordic Blue- These gloves come very highly recommended. My buddy dove with them two years ago in the Antarctic Circle with a dive team- burrrr. He purchased the one with a built in latex seal and just pulls them on with or without the liner. | give a man an inch....... ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Not Dry gloves but.... I use 5mm 3 finger mitts used them all last winter down to 4 degrees C brrrr found them better than my dry gloves which tended to give me cold fingers when ever i touched anything my 3 finger mitts also seal fairly well against my cuffs so not much flushing of water which helps anyway another option

God forbid Deco! However, I have the type of news you want to hear. I have been chatting with Rig Diver and he has the type of diving going on in the Gulf (of Mexico) you want when you are ready to dive stateside! Take care on the other side of the world- Andrew |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I use the Si-Tech cuff ring system and find it temperamental but good. In environments where I cannot risk a glove flood I use 3mm gloves for dexterity and then put some 5mm 3 finger-mitts over them for snug deco. Cheers, Dave Cooper.
