| Re: General question: dry gloves system Forget the rings in gloves. The simplest and most reliable system is a dry glove with just a wrist seal: ![]() You use thin, good-quality cotton gloves (etc) underneath the dry suit's wrist seal, and then don the glove on the dry suit's wrist seal. This way gas goes from the glove to the dry suit and vice versa, and you still can prevent water going to dry suit in case of glove flooding. The rings are just unneeded system, which adds bulkiness to your hands. The latex seal (of dry suit or glove) doesn't touch your skin at any point, only the under garment glove. Take a look at for example this site: Dry Glove and Wrist System and figure 11. - Matti Finland (cold waters..) |

| Re: General question: dry gloves system Forget the rings in gloves. These look like a great alternative to installing rings on my new suit. I have used dry rings before, and they are awkward to get into a harness with.The simplest and most reliable system is a dry glove with just a wrist seal: ![]() You use thin, good-quality cotton gloves (etc) underneath the dry suit's wrist seal, and then don the glove on the dry suit's wrist seal. | Re: General question: dry gloves system Broke down and went with a set of Si Tech rings purchased for a good price from a LDS. Sigh...so much for "Alternatives". I think this may be the best option though, the Bare rings I had on the old suit were a little larger, and the slip-on kitchen katchers will work inexpensively enough and are quite warm IMO. I will think about the Si Tech Glove system...has anyone had success with them? Regards;

| Re: General question: dry gloves system Since the last 4 years I use Viking's dry glove system. I can highly recommend it if you want a simple and reliable system. http://www.dyk-brand.se/download/new...ingbayonet.pdf // Blomman |

It looks like a great system, but also looks like once you've installed them you'd have to replace the seals if you wanted to go back to wet gloves. Seb
