| Re: drogon? Re: lower percentage of inspo/evo owners on RBW Perhaps another factor could be there are insp & evo owners who feel adequately connected on the drogon mailing list? That has been around for a while now, yes? I never joined - is it active these days? It's still active, just joined the other day. so far it seems that this style forum just leaves the send all list style aproach in the dust though. ope, darn it, there i go again, how can i say that in a more positive way. ![]()

It is what constitutes 'other' that interests me most but the information isn't collected. My Inspiration Vision is virtually mainstream now but, although my friends consider the IDA64A pretty radical, compared with the modifiers/builders here it is positively conservative. The only mod is a p-port so I can plug it into the VR3 and read back the ppO2.

The new one will swallow a complete breather, and a sizable lump of bank balance ) How cool would it be to have a play with it, I was (badly) trying to make the point that they invested in there R&D and that they had done before as well if that makes any sense?

| Monty Guest Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Numbers of different units out there - the RBW view I would ask how many IDAs? Well there's 4 x KISSed IDA-71's here in Cape Town and 3 of the owners are on RBW. The 4th unit is still looking for an owner. I'd love to see the numbers especially since Dave has mentioned that there are many converted IDA-71's and a few IDA-72's out there. This is probably not the right place to suggest it, but I'd really like the IDA's to have their own little section or sub-section on RBW.... rgds monty |

One thing is for sure, as the number surpasses 200, the myth that diverite was going to discontinue production of the optimas will be put to rest once and for all.BTW from what I heard there were 150 optimas sold last year!

A WHOLE BUNCH in fact.... we all seem to congregate on the Homebuilders list, and sometimes it seems that we are more than half the traffic on that area. I'd be all in favor of a Russian Rigs section, and Stuart has been promising me a Mark-15 forum for several weeks (WAKE UP STUART!!) Dave

I think you will see the optima become a mainstay of the DiveRite line up. Once there are more out there with more hours I'd expect the product to evolve and iron out some of the faults. It's going to be my next breather! |

I doubt the optima will be disappearing.. Diverite has made a strong commitment, and has also contracted with me to write the o2ptima fx manual..I am expecting my unit shortly...

During the interview with Dive Rite at DEMA we were told that they just passed the 100 unit mark and were very proud of that number. Stuart was there and heard the same information that I did.BTW from what I heard there were 150 optimas sold last year! Last edited by silentscuba : 7th February 2007 at 23:19. |
