I hope you will all join me in wishing Dave the best - he is stuck in a hospital in Germany facing an op for a kidney stone which suddenly appeared.

I have been there, done that, got the t-shirt. I can only sympathies since it is the worst pain I have ever felt... Luckily mine just washed away after few days of beer drinking....

Prescribed by the doctor at the time... but not reimbursed by NHS

Wish him a quick and painless recovery.

Thanks for the thoughts guys and girls!!

I just flew back having been discharged this morning.

I collapsed on Wednesday just before boarding a flight, it is the worst pain I have ever experienced.

I am just glad it didn't happen 30 minutes into a 90 metre dive!! Might not have made it back.

Missed a week of diving I was due to start Saturday but am grateful for small mercies.

German hospitals are fantastic and the staff were excellent, I was due to be operated on this morning but pissed the stone (Hedgehog!!) out at 3 am, never did like general anaesthetics!!

Anyway time to go hug my wife and daughter, thanks again for your concern.
