![]() | VR3 Computer opinions Hi Guys, we are deciding whether or not to bring VR3 into the shop along with the rest of the rebreather stuff. If possible please let me know what you think of the units. I would like honest opinions if you do not feel you want to post here please just email me at john@northeastscubasupply.com We will not sell a product that does not have good customer service and I am really concerned about this as I have had no dealings with them. Three things: Ease of Use Happiness with Unit Most Important -- Customer Service and satisfaction for repairs, etc. See ya John Scuba diving lessons, scuba diving gear equipment, technical diving gear equipment, oms |

| swims in fishes toilets ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: VR3 Computer opinions although I am somewhat a new user, I am very happy with the computer and find it very user friendly and here is a couple of points that I see. 1. The new diver has the ability to grow with the computer and not need a new one as they progress and as an old diver doesn't "need" much else. 2. The ability with the HP Link to monitor your tank in OC or constant PPO2 in CCR is a treat. 3. The software for Dive logging is straight forward (now that it's working on my mac) 4. The color screen is awesome 5. All the PINs are BS and a pain in the and expensive

Happy with the unit. I had only 1 problem with a push button. 3) Happy with customer service. I dealt with the UK from the US for initial purchase, repair, service and upgrade and they've always been responsive and dilligent. Best Philippe |

Always found CS excellent and only have had one of the push in activators go during this time. They come in a wide range of specification and with various add on options. Easy battery replacement. ![]() | Re: VR3 Computer opinions My vr3 has never failed underwater. I have had button problems. Then i lost one set of pixels . At that point it became useless. Had to send it back. Took them two months to get it back to me . It is now being used as a paper weight. Going to get me a Cochran. Anybody interested in VR3 let me know will be putting it on ebay soon.Helium_diver

![]() ![]() | Re: VR3 Computer opinions OK a slightly opposing opinion. I'll be honest, I hate the thing, it can be overly complex to use, underwater pushing two buttons together with 5mm gloves on is a bit tricky. The deco is longer than it really needs to be. It's stupidly expensive, all the options cost way too much. But,,,,, I would be without it, so much so I am buying another, both will be plumbed in to the unit, one on a 4th cell, the other Via Uri's Rebreather Guardian HUD.There is no real alternative available in the UK, get one from the States, it has to go back to the States if there is an issue, and shipping can be expensive. And I just noticed your in the States, if I were you, I would think about it, I guess it would hinge on the deal DeltaP are willing to offer you to hold it in stock. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: VR3 Computer opinions I had two VR3s and used them for OC and CCR diving over the last four years. No faults to report. Except a line of pixels failing ( common one this) however it didn't afect its usability so I just kept on using it. In terms of complexity i relay didn't find it a problem. It has some lovely features which were obviously designed by a diver. Like a rotating screen that allowed you to use the VR3 in any orientation. Brilliant. If I had any complaints its that the deco was a bit old fashioned and that the bailout to OC system was stupidly difficult. I sold the VR3s a couple of months back and bought a Shearwater. I did this because it offered GF deco and because it can monitor three cells on the CCR. ATB Mark Chase
