Outside diameter is 2 3/8 inches, length 8 1/8 in. Inside diameter 2 in., length between screw in plugs is 5 7/8 inches, total inside length is 7 1/2 in, diameter inside hollow in cap is 1 9/16 in. In other words you could fit either a cylinder 2" diameter - 5 7/8" long, or one 1 9/16" diameter - 7 1/2" long. Steve
