![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Weezle Dive underwear I dive above 10c but deco can take a while. I have used the compact and now own the extreme. Just the thought of 5-9c would send me running for the Extreme + I am sure I would get by with the extreme for the odd normal dive but anything with duration might be numbing. Hope that helps. |

My only complaint is the outer layer is very light and when damp prevents air flow through my drysuit dump valve. I fixed that by cutting the toe off a sock and wearing it like a sleeve on my left arm. Otherwise it's toasty. I use the Extreme + as well in winter and I had the same problem. I just burned some small (Ø2mm) holes in the outer layer (under the drysuitvalve) with a soldering iron. It still takes some time to vent though.steven Last edited by steevke : 31st December 2006 at 08:56. Reason: spelling |

For colder water / longer duration I used it in conjunction with a base layer and I think this gives more flexibility than perhaps getting the Extreme +. It really is excellent in a flood - suit flooded in 8 deg C water and managed a 1hr dive with little discomfort at all. The downside for me really is with the venting issue... but the sock idea is worth a look. The problem seemed worse when trying to minimise the amount of lead worn - and thus having a very small amount of air in the suit - just enough to deal with squeeze. The more air in the suit the easier it seemed to dump. For the record I have switched recently to the Xerotherm Arctic and am really happy with it...much snugger fit and a lot less lead required. I see on the web site that they offer it in a 2 piece for women, has anyone tried that model out? I am looking for one set for my wife. Thanks A female diver I used to dive a lot with has a 2-piece weezle and likes it. I have a 1-piece extreme+ and love it, socks too!Rob

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Weezle Dive underwear I have an extreme+ with booties, and love it. My drysuit leaked horribly yesterday in 46F/8c water, and after 45 minutes I still had nary a shiver. I did have the venting issue on my dui clx450. On the advice of a friend I switched the low profile shoulder dump for their high profile, and the issue went away. Complaints: the shoulder material should be different, this is a glaring and easily solved problem that they need to address. Also, having a single zipper, so you can't just loop a pee-valve hose through it (or take an easy leak), is cheaping out their part. Finally, it should come stock with a nicely selvedged hole for the afore-mentioned pee valve hose. Two really, some guys like to dress left, some right .So, 8 out of 10, if they spent another handle of pence it would be 10 out of 10. |

Actually I would say that the Arctic comes close...and with base layer certainly so...I don't think that these ALONE will keep you warm enough for trilam in the temperature range we are discussing.
