| Virkon vs Virkon S I was in a farm supply store on the weekend and they only had Virkon, as opposed to Virkon S. Does anyone know the difference if there is one? Thanks, Alden |

Virkon is approved for human applications. Virkon S is for animal uses. Virkon is much more expensive, probably because animals don't sue. Thanks, Alden FWIW, I'm using Virkon S. |

Before there was Virkon everybody quite happily used Virkon S as a matter of fact all the tests were done using Virkon S and it was chosen a the disinfectant of choice for rebreathers, but now we have Virkon specially formulated for human use Thanks, Alden ![]()

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Actually, as far as I remember this discussion dragging on across various boards Virkon (for human use) is manufactured with tighter quality control than Virkon S (for animal use) and approved by various govermental health departments.
