![]() | Re: OMS Dry Suit Gloves They are a DRY glove.. I assume you mean that dry gloves that are ON the suit (ie on rings) are easier? at any rate do you know how to put on the OMS DRY gloves... ie the inner rubber sleeve goes on TOP of the dry suit sleeve? thanks |

That's how I did it. But, they were also to long. The long gauntlet was to long over my seals. Same with my buddy who bought them.thanks Anything they tell you to put a lil warm water in to keep your hands warm during the dive. Isn't a real DRY glove to me. ![]() | Re: OMS Dry Suit Gloves Besides being warmer than wet gloves one of the big advantages of the ring style SI Tech glove is the improved dexterity, which you will not get with the OMS glove since it is still made from 5mm neoprene and is bulky. This SI gloves are also much easier to get on and off particularly when wet. |

I think he has a ring system but why don't you email via the Eau Zone website. Say Charlie T suggested he might be able to help you. Charlie |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: OMS Dry Suit Gloves Which style of the OMS Dry Suit gloves was the orignal poster wanting to know about? since there is the THE ULTIMATE DRY SUIT GLOVE which is the 5mm glove everyone is taking about or was he wanting information on the OMS® DRYSUIT GLOVE which is (.045” thick) one piece latex dry glove. I am curious about the later one. Any one have useful information on this dry suit glove?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: OMS Dry Suit Gloves I used to the the long OMS gloves which were called proctology golves by my buddies for a few years. They were a PIA to put on and not really any warmer then any other wet gloves but should get real kudo's for durability. I still have them and they lasted hundreds of dives and still have a most of their life left in them. Most of my friends went through a half a dozen pairs during the same time period. As for the other style with the latex cuffs in my opinion they are more trouble then they are worth. A real pain to put over the lining and I gave mine away before my third dive. I currently use the old style Viking cuff rings on both my suits and are more then happy. I can use wet gloves when I feel like it, change the wrist seals in a couple of minutes and when going dry put on a pair of nice fleece gloves and cover them with $2.00 surplus chemical gloves that last way longer then I expected. I am actually still on my second pair and in my third year of diving them. I really did not even wear out the first pair but used them for painting. If you are really worried about ripping them on a wreck you can put a pair of any flavor of work gloves over them, even SS link butcher/shark gloves. I have not personally used the Si-Tek rings but know many who do and for the most part they seem to have more problems getting them to seal and keeping dry then I do with my old Vikings. Take that for what it is worth since I cannot tell you for sure it is the people or the system. |

Any one have useful information on this dry suit glove? I use them, well the same but not branded because then they're about 1/3 of the price. Check here: APS - APS Dry Gloves - LatexYou can also find them in water ski and cayaking shops. Of course, these are not made to go fumbling around the sharp edge of a 50 year old wreck but they are tough/durable enough to keep your hands on the anchor line during ascent if you need to. They are very flexible, easy to get on alone and trimable same as drysuit seals. I usually wear polartec gloves undernearth for water around 50°f/10°c and add a silk liner (motobike stuff) for water around freezing temp. For water temp above 10°c, I use the liner that comes with it (some kind of polypro I think), then you have the flexibility of surgery gloves vs ski mits with the Atlas ones. Some friends of mine use them year round with only the liner and add a warm water (read thin) wetglove on top. Best Philippe |

Best Philippe I am assuming you just pull bottom of glove over wrist seal and latex to latex will make the seal? How do you stop a squeeze?
