The forum has not changed and is still the wrong place for your vendetta... It certainly does appear to be personal since you refuse to let it go... Your Quote.... ************************************************ After speaking with Stefan, and with 20/20 hind sight: 1) This was the wrong forum for this. 2) The wording was not great. 3) This was not intended as anything personal against anyone. Apologies. ************************************************ |

I have an uncertified chamber too. Get over it". Lead, follow, or get outta the way. If you're on my boat and get bent... you can stay bent. Come to think about it, just make it simple: Stay home. You won't get bent, and we won't need to use our chamber. Dave . Last edited by Dave Sutton : 9th March 2008 at 23:46. |

| Custom Title Allowed! Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Recompression Chamber Out of Date What does certification include? Some one to come and see if the chamber has had all the filter changes etc?? or just some greedy bratsad wanting some money in the form of some documentation? Does an un-certified chamber blow up? Are you trying to warn us for our own safety or are you just complaining? Teoman Last edited by teomannaskali : 10th March 2008 at 00:16. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Recompression Chamber Out of Date CONSUMER WARNING: The GSE portable chamber owned by Mad Dog Expeditions ("rental for expeditions") has an expired RINA certification (provided by the manufacturer in Italy) as of May, 2006. I design and sell high pressure systems for a living.MDE has been informed of this, and this portable chamber should not to be used for treatment until that certification has been reissued. NUS, Inc. Although I agree regular inspections are important theres no need to be silly about it. 2 years is nothing, half of us are likely using scuba tanks that havent been inspected for far longer than that plus (even if they have been) offer much higher risk anyway as lord knows how they have been miss treated. What does the inspection cover? Structural integrity? Operation? Without knowing that you cant really draw much safety conclusions. Is the RINA inspection rating valid/required in US? Compulsory or not? Unless the chamber has been dropped from a very great height since last inspected Id know how long Id hesitate before climbing in it if I was bent. not very long. Then again your talking to a guy whos used a chamber that brought up, salvaged from a sunken dive support vessel at 60m, refurbished and now we use when needed ![]() Drmike : photos : The team and other stuff- powered by SmugMug nice bit of spidge ![]() Sure it should be safe, reg safety inspections go a long way to ensure that, but these things dont go from safe to not-safe the moment the inspecton period ends... Middle of nowhere ages from nearest chamber, bent, I sure as hell wouldnt let a lack of cert stop me getting in that portable chamber!!

Considering you previously said you were out of line, and apologised, and now, 15 months later you revive a dead thread (in fact, your first post to the site since that apology), which is serving no-one any useful purpose, sorry, thread closed.
