Diving arround Sydney in Oz

OK might be off to Oz staying in Sydney for a few weeks with a veiw to moving out there. My wife has been offerd a Job there and it might be too good an oportunity to miss.

So obviously my primary concern is can I get any diving done I know about the gold cost but I am talking about diving I can drive to.

Especialy interested in wreck diveing shallow to max 100m

Mark,
Try speaking to Barry at www.southerncrossdivers.com.au, he's based In and around Sydney, He imports AP rebreathers. (when I spoke to him in march he had an Evolution and a very used Classic Inspiration)
Another place to try is the DiveOz forum http://www.diveoz.com.au/discussion_forums/default.asp

DCM is a DIR shop.

2 Choices. Baz if you want to do the same few dives week in week out. The other is hook up with The Sydney Project. http://www.sydneyproject.com/ The membership is significantly larger than listed and there are a few membes on this board

Personally I would put a vote in for the Project. Better variety and a great bunch of world class divers.

A site that you may find interesting is www.trimixdivers.com

Hi Simon,

Just Hijacking this topic sorry,

Swagelock here now said it is OK, BUT it was not O2 clean from their distributors (as it is cut to order and the same went for their push on ends) AND they also said it is up to the individual to do some "testing".

I think Steve went a little further with them in Sydney. What was your interperation Steve?

Hi Guys,

I learned that the push on hose doesn't come O2 clean as a standard item (the colour doesn't mean anything). They will provide it cleaned if you want to pay for it. I'm sorry I dont have the paperwork in front of me to give you the code that they use to say it is O2 clean. It is in the catalogue though.

They said when pushed, that they would prefer it if that hose was replaced every 2 years based on my diving frequency. They wouldnt put it on paper as they have a policy of the customer has to select the product based on their requirements rather than advising customers.

I cleaned all of my swagelok parts myself.

I hope this helps
