Re: Bad day diving

I had the same problem diving 400 weight undergarment. I just dont dive when I need that heavy of insulation - ... you really have be used to being that bulked up.

Good story, thanks.

You winter cats.... if any of y'all Rebreather divers want to come visit N FL the h2O is 72 F year round and today the air temps got over 75 F. Bring me gifts and you'll have a place to stay.

Re: Bad day diving

But cold water diving is a blast! Anyone can dive in 70+ degrees and 50+ vis, try finding the same up here! We actually get some visibility (15ft in the local lakes, sometimes even 25-30ft!) and we don't have to worry about those darn boats using our dive flags as a target either. Of course you have to put up with the curious bystanders, no one seems to believe you are just doing this for fun.
We figure this is good practice for the deep summer dives where it's only 41 degrees below 90 feet.
I am looking into getting some more flexable undergarments, The Deco Stop has a ongoing thread on the merits of some cold water garments, the Xotherm sounds warm and flexible. Now I just need some better gloves under the dry gloves.
