![]() | I search of buddy in Bristol area! I moved to Bristol, UK recently and I havent located a rebreather diver living in the vicinity. Done a couple of shore dives already, and looking forward to many more, but I would also be interested in exploring the quarries arount the area(Chepstow, Vobster etc) Anyone interested? |

I live Just a couple of junctions down the M4 from you and would be interested in doing some UK coastal dives once I have my ticket. Not keen on quarries, other than for training. Too cold, dark, and dead for my liking. |

![]() | Re: I search of buddy in Bristol area! Mrning Panda Don’t knock the quarries… Like yourself was quiet “been there seen them done it” before getting Rebreather. Did acknowledge they have their uses, but limited. Now my opinion of them has changed. Very useful to the RB: To try / test new ideas or configurations, build skills, build muscle memory, build the hours, build confidence, etc. Having said that, if I had a choice yes it would be in the sea water. Just sometimes not always practical (have had 2 weekends blown out recently). Anyway best of luck with the Evo Mod 1. Keep us in the loop, no pun intended, and look forward to a dive together. |
