I had to enlarge (1 mm) the holes because they were not properly aligned with the bolt on my kiss backplate (#72) and my wing holes (Oxycheq 40). The corner of the metal handle are quite sharp and i kept scratching my hands when i lifted the rebreather. I made them rounded with a grinder. A part from that "fine tuning" i think it is very useful in handling the rebreather and in "wearing" it. |

Hi John, I was very pleased with my SK stand, these are my comments, although some are negative please don't see them as complaints :-) its just easier to see negatives when the rest of it is so good (crawl crawl- PS, whens the cell checker due?!) Handle, bit rough on bare hands once the Ali starts to "bloom" also interferes with turning exhale red pod, perhaps a lower profile design? This might be alittle tricky as that area is very busy.... Stand piece can flexes slightly when given heavy load (obvious I know and maybe I was using it beyond the design limits! ) Dumpy 3ltr causes a little flex but enough for the removable section to "pop out" of where it meshes with the counterlung case so next time you put it down the stand flexs and slips inside of the case and weakens the structure."D-rings" on stand could do with sticking out abit further (being wider) as they are difficult to access with something large in the stand. The little "feet" where good addition though. |

![]() | Re: This Is Your Chance To Make A Change!! John, I had to drill a couple of extra holes in mine to get the wing, backplate and stand to match the counter lung case and I put a chamfer on the lower handle edges they caught the counterlung case and wouldn't allow the stand to sit flush. Other than that it all sits perfectly and does the job. Craig. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: This Is Your Chance To Make A Change!! Great stand! I agree with softening up the hand hold a bit. Also it would be great if the bottom of the stand was a bit stiffer, perhaps a small gusset.

It would be my preference to make the top part of the handle straight. The curved shape you have now seems like it would make an uncomfortable handle. If I were buying one of your stands I would probably fit a couple of pieces of UHMW polyethelene half round stock to either side of the handle to make the cross section of the handle round. A straight portion where the hand wraps around the handle would make fitting it easier. I have to admit it wouldn't look as pretty though. My $0.02.
