| Re: Hard off switch on the Hammer Head Just a short follow-up since you quoted me, the Hammerhead solenoid will fire even in OC mode if the loop PO2 falls below .19. This is one of the saftey protocols built-in I feel this method is an acceptable solution to "turning off" the solenoid once out of the water. I have been using this approach for the last year and it works well...Dive Dafe... Mark |

Fair comment, thanks for filling in the gaps in my knowledge. |

Look forward to the day when every rebreather does this. It would have saved some lives.Alex |

Alex yeh, and even more easy: to go from OC to CCR, you don't have to go to OC menu, changing, confirm etc (8 pushes) simply select a setpoint and whoops, you're in CCR mode (2/3 pushes) regards paul

| Re: Hard off switch on the Hammer Head Paul, The new sets are aluminum and the case is gound so you can't pull out the slug like you could in the plastic hand sets. The tighter the better.Check with Kevin concerning about tighten the battery cap hard. On the older acrylic handset, the internal thread part could rotated and shear off the 2 wires to the battery. I know Kevin modified the newer battery compartment to prevent this from happening, but it is still probably a good idea to know how hard you could apply force to it. Just a heads-up... |

| Re: Hard off switch on the Hammer Head The K1 won't allow a setpoint below 0.2, so it does the same thing... assuming its on (you CAN shut it off with a hard power switch) ![]()
