![]() | Re: Auto Air v No Auto Air Since I usually dive with the 13cf tanks in my Optima, I did not install a Auto Air or attach an OC regulator to my Diluent tank. I carry offboard instead. Those 13's won't last very long on OC. Aloha, CCRDVR ![]() |

![]() | Re: Auto Air v No Auto Air I still use the auto air. So far its performed OK. Not sure about the long term as I'm not exactly a fan of them. Suppose the first time it starts weeping it'll force me into the change. If you decide to just remove it then either fit a 2nd stage or pressure relief valve on it. Cheers ............ Garry |

If you really need the gas from that cylinder, then pop the LPI hose off and plump it to your offboard injection port, or access the gas open loop from the DSV and ADV. You really dont need 3 access points to a 13 that will run out just when you get calm again. the only thing worse than running out of gas on a dive....is running out of gas TWICE.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Auto Air v No Auto Air Auto Air's work for me Admit i have had to crank it down a touch to stop it bleeding off, but it saves me on shallow (up to 35m)diving from having to take a stage with me.I.E off to Egypt 2morro on a Liverboard diving the Northern Wrecks for a week. The Auto air saves me from having to take an extra reg with me and hiring a pony bottle out there. As the 3ltr inboard is fine for me as bailout on typical redsea diving. So all in all it also reduces weight, and we all know how hard it is to travel with a CCR nowadays with such tight weight restrictions ATB Gareth |

Plus the Auto air is a big old thing. |

Kinda like the idea of all onboard gas being used for the CCR only. |
