![]() | Auuuugggghhhhh!!!!!!! Probably a homebuilder thread but....... I have a second stage reg. hooked to my counterlung acting as an ADV. When enough negative pressure is created, the reg. fires, replacing loop volume ON DRY LAND. When I put that sucker in the water and decend 1 foot, the regulator starts freeflowing. The exhaust ports are of course blocked. Why does she freeflow? How do I fix it? And no, my instructor did not cover this in HOMEBUILD MOD 1. As stated earlier, probably a homebuilder thread, but I'm casting my nets wide.... The reg is an unbalanced downstream piston, which might be my answer..... Please help.Last edited by robertfondren : 20th October 2006 at 06:57. Reason: maybe I'm smarter now? |

Im speckling that the reg when dived it oriented with the mouthpiece up and diaphragm down, so the hydro pressure differential is making it 'crack'. Tighten up the 2nd stage orifice a bit/adjust lever height (depending on design). /Z
