Talking Richard Pyle 2: the Aluminium foil

Welcome to our daily lesson in Santo, Vanuatu.

If you think that everything in Technical diving can be fixed with inner tube, zip ties and duct tape, you'll learn about one more thing today.

Richard Pyle, your teacher for this class, will show you how to use aluminium foil.

Do you need to convert an imperial Helium fitting into a metric one? Aluminium foil between the threads

Do you need to avoid that other divers use your trimix bail-out tanks? Aluminium foil on top of the valve

Any other idea? what about reflective patches on your hood? or extra thermal protection?

Tomorrow we'll maybe see how to fix a Cis-Lunar breathing loop with a chewing gum.

Cheers

I'm all for utilizing aluminium-cough, aluminum-foil for diving. But, can it help keep the twins warm on a long cold dive without causing a rash?

Re: Richard Pyle 2: the Aluminium foil

Cedric this time I cannot agree, last month while blending, while topping a helair mix, the gauge fixed to the mixing hose gave way at 180bar, it ripped it's copper thread, I nearly browed my pants . It was like an explosion!

Re: Richard Pyle 2: the Aluminium foil

I knew that was coming before I saw the picture. Those CGA 540 nuts are pretty sloppy on the french He valve. Glad to see you guys got something together to make it happen.

Cheers!!
