![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Risk/Liability Adverse Dive Shops Hello, I have been trying to find a number of things from local dive shops here in the DC area. Amoung them are caps for standard regulator fittings, different length hoses, unique hose end combinations, hose adapters, and help mounting an Azimuth rebreather on a DiveRite BC. As soon as the local shops hear that I'm "modifying" the rebreather configuration they simply stop the discussion due. They don't want to have anything to do anything that isn't standard. Is the common or just something that happens around here? I've come to the conclusion I pretty much have to go it by myself for anything I want to do. I try to support my local dive shops but I am forced to go to internet sites because they don't seem to care what I'm doing when I order a hose or adapter. Does anyone else find this true? Sincerely, Paul |

I've been told I'm gonna cack myself a number of times..... Then again, there are internet vendors (some of who are also LDSs) who are quite friendly. Try NorthEast Scuba Supply - I've bought quite a bit from them and have never had any gruff as a consequence of telling them what I intend to do with what I'm buying.

I second the comments above for Northeast Scuba Supply. I am lucky that it's only a 45 minute drive from my house. John Allen who runs the place has a great operation. Dive Safe... Mark |
