a needle valve on O2 house

I use that as backup system for my Rebreather, and that perh)aps could be helpfull for somehone.
The idea is to fit a "in line" needle valve on your o2 hose just before the manual addition valve (a very simple mod on OTS counterlungs Rebreather )to avoid o2 spike when flying manually your RB especially a depth.

I think it is beautiful and would love one, except it is quite costly relatively IMHO...

Re: a needle valve on O2 house

If it would be available at a reasonable cost (say 300 to 350 EUR or so) I would buy one immediately.

And I think a lot of other people would then buy one as well.

Pics will come soon
For the détails, its simple from your CL valve you have the normal hose connector then the needle valve between two 1/4 gas adaptator you can find everywhere.
You just have to sacrify a LP BC hose connector to test that.

During the dive the needle is completely opened but when you need to fly manually at depth you shut the needle valve and have a try, listening to the O2 flow, so you are sure not to have a massive O2 spike.

I think its a great and simple improvement, flying manualy could become less dangerous.

Any thought?

Oh! Just forgot to say that the maximal allowed flow rate through the needle valve must be way bigger than the flow used in KISS like system, dont forget that you have no bypass on this system, its just a way to temporary decrease the flow if you need.

For my own I use a small valve from LEGRIS

Hi Steven,

The price for the Pelagain O2 feed block with hoses is 478 USD, so not too far from 350 euro!
