![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm confused. Am I missing something here? Given the litigious nature of our society and thinking that we all engage in this sport with full knowledge of the risks, I don't understand why this site would encourage advertising like this. Can someone enlighten me.... and please don't tell me that it is everyones right to sue etc. etc. as in the case with the idiot that burned her crotch at McDonalds and won a million dollar award. Encourage this kind of crap and pretty soon you won't be able to buy a Rebreather because the insurance companies will have put all of the manufacturers out of business. 1 alt="" width=1>SCUBA Accident Attorney John is an AOW diver & attorney litigating intro-tech diving cases www.oapc.com/Ads by Goooooogle |

Sounds like Mr. OConnel is trying to boost his case repertoire with some targeted advertisement. He lists only two"succesfull" scuba diving-related trials compared to many with aircraft and product liability. In fact, to thank this firm for supporting Rebreatherworld, I would like to offer Mr. OConnell a complementary Kauai dive excursion. It is a deluxe one-dive exploration package that includes rebreather and OC gear that I have specially modified for attorneys. |

| Nutty dentist - uwdriller Current Rebreather/s: | Re: I'm confused. Am I missing something here? it is unbeliefable, we all know the risks, (and no risk no fun - right) however more and more people wnt to have the fun but can't or wont take any responosblity for themself. I think it is sickening that common sense doesn't ssem to be relevant nowadays anymore. And furthermore I honestly belief that this world would be a much better plaece without laywers (and real estate agents). When for chr.. sake do we take our life in our one hands, and take responsibility for our own doings and for f.. stop trying to blame anyone else or our missery.. Sorry for being taht harsh but i think that kind or advertising sghould not only be banned but punished. But this is only my 0.02 and probably wopnt make any difference cheers christian

| Southern Monkey Current Rebreather/s: | Re: I'm confused. Am I missing something here? Well a couple of points... Making the advert into a permanent link may be of benifit to the advertiser.. If I understand correctly, it will also (while his contract is current and paid up) cost him money everytime the link is followed, and in turn earn money for Rebreather World... So if everyone clicks away... then maybe he will decide it is not an efficient way to advertise, and Stuart will be able to afford free tee-shirts for everyone ![]() |

Those ads are a Google Syndication thing, Google searches the page that the ad is on, and puts in the ads it considers most appropriate to the page. Targetted Marketing... Most pages here on Rebreather World end up with ads for dive schools, VR3 computers, etc etc etc... Not sure exactly what page that ad was on, but pretty sure you'll find some key words in there, eg accident, incident, insurance, etc etc etc... HTH.

Don't blame the attorneys. If there were more dentists and they advertised more would people go to the dentist more? I doubt it.Encourage this kind of crap and pretty soon you won't be able to buy a Rebreather because the insurance companies will have put all of the manufacturers out of business. 1 alt="" width=1>SCUBA Accident Attorney John is an AOW diver & attorney litigating intro-tech diving cases www.oapc.com/Ads by Goooooogle

I suggest this is one of those sites.Google searches the page that the ad is on, and puts in the ads it considers most appropriate to the page. Targetted Marketing... I doubt it too, but whenever those dentist would go the no cure no pay way, and you could just walk in and looked at for no cost, and the charging would start when the dentist actually started drilling or other, then more people would go and go more often. That I don't doubt. Denz.
