Hand Signals

I've just done my MOD 1 on the Meg and a point came up that I thought was rather interesting!

When diving in general there are hand signals that we all use and need to know! BUT are there signals for CCR divers ie change set point?? I know that divers who dive regularly together may develop there own but!!!

Are there hand signals just for rebreather divers???

After changing to 1.0 set point, point to hand set; make a "1" with finger; make a fist with same hand; make a "0" with hand; give okay sign to buddy. Buddy mirrors actions and/or checks hand set to confirm setting, ending with a confirmation okay sign. Hand sets are now set to 1.0 for both team members.

Slide index finger of right hand twice across upturned palm of left hand = change setpoint, then physically check yourself to make sure they have done it.

Sliding the centre button on the Classic Inspiration to change the setpoint.

Down Under we tend to use this one to indicate a change of setpoint.....

And yes it is interesting, I hadn't thought about CCR hand signals before.
Normally my buddy(s) and I just shout through the DSV to each other, all except Samir. He talks, we just can't understand him when he does!
