Sorry to divert off rebreathers but I live in East London, for years at school I was the only white kid with 15-20 other races in my class, I work in a small company with 200 employees and 52 nationalities.... never had a race problem to contend with, in fact I only get reminded there is such a thing when I turn on the TV news and I find it abit sick.

It doesn't matter where you come from or what colour you are, if you are weak minded and brain washed by your elders a person from anywhere can commit a crime, if I might be so trite as to point out we in the west generally get big news stories about the minor attacks against Europe and the US.... the mass genocide in Central Africa of millions gets scant coverage.

I take your point about the goverment deciding Rebreather's fall into a certain catorgery, I dont' agree with it, they should be classed equally with OC dive equipment in my mind... fortunatly I'm not diving abroad anytime soon....

I think I need to go diving

I have to agree with ron...not to make this off topic, but I had 3 close friends on the cole...we did nothing...hit the snooze button, lost my sister on 9/11, didn't do a whole lot, with around 100,000 military present at any time in the area...can't find osama,
food for thought? catching him, is his #2 going to be more fanatical? the USS COLE was in a "NUETRAL" port that now has ties to supporting al qida,
also after 83 beruit? did nothing...hit the snooze button.

Great multiple choice, where is this stuff printed? In class room books conviently missing out on few other historical facts. Go ahead declare war on 30% of the world's population. Ask everyone "Are you or have you ever been a Muslim", eve better get the Muslims to sow a crescent on their jackets so we can identify them from a distance. Boy haven't we come along way in the past 60 years.

We all want the latest, up to date info on what the security agencies are allowing / not allowing us to fly with (trust me, its NOT up to the airlines, but thats another story...), but PLEASE, if you want to talk religious beliefs / politics, find another place.

sadave- fair point, Gill- if you don't like it don't read it...

I had a quick ring around some airlines and travel agents WRT Rebreather's... it is up to the airline, Goverment "Guideline" was the quote I got but they all seem to afraid to follow it so are just banning everything left, right and centre, typical.

Anyway, goodnight.

I think the best solution here is for the guys owning dive centres in all the best places in the world get out their cheque books and buy loads of rebreathers and we just go there and rent them.....at a discount obviously
