Dry suit inflation

Hi,

Does anyone know of a complete solution to dry suit inflation? I can find small bottles on shop sites but never one that includes a first stage too. I don't really want to have to buy a new first stage which has 4 lp ports and 2hp when all I need is one lp...

If anyone knows of a product I would be very greatfull.

Cheers

Ian

Re: Dry suit inflation

You need 2 lp ports
1 for the suit feed
1 for the over pressure valve

You can get some good deals on the Apeks ds4

Hi Ian

This is probably what you're after

http://www.divingniknaks.com/proddet...004&cat=26&nav=

You should get them in many other places but I have found divingniknaks to be very good. Also at £31 it's not going to break the bank. BTW how are you getting on with the KT Box,

ATB,

Nick

I use a Al 6cf bottle from Sea Perals and Dive Rite makes a nice setup to connect it to the Rebreather. I'm testing a low end first stage for them now but if you have been diving very long you will have a old one lying around that you can you use but don't forget to put on an over pressure valve in on of the LP ports.

Hi Ian,
I use the H2 Odyssey "Extra Air Source" with a 6cft: The first stage is permanent on the bottle. New versions have a valve integrated, older versions don't. You hook up directly to a tank with a yoke valve to refill. They also have a version that connects to a fill whip.
That makes a very compact suit inflation rig. It's a piston reg very easy to service yourself.

Re: Dry suit inflation

The small first stage that you can get from salvo are small and cheap. 2LP ports. One for whip and one for OPV. I like it.

I use these in training the Australian Defence Boys n Gals.... they are one nasty peice of gear to breath out of, but I think perfect for the drysuit... I scared the hell out of the trainers when I emptied one with only 11 breaths on the surface ...

I would hate to see people actually try to get out of a dangerous situation with one. .. but as I said. .. just the right amount of air for a Drysuit!

I saw some people using 1 lp port with a T fitted, one side of the T is the OPV the other the suit feed.
