Oi cheeky

Thats why i take two

I voted two computers no tables.

PS: since crimping the threads and application of conductive grease total resets in about 12 hours underwater = 0.

Fingers crossed.

VR3, Uwatec bottom timer, and Vplan tables laminated in the pocket.
I guess its a given that if you use tables as a backup, you also have a way of using them.......unles you can count real steady!

VR3, D3 and tables.

Re: 2 computers, or ?

I use 2 hs explorers.....the first had problems at the begining because the battery was not properly mounted....
so i bougth an other one and it made both work perfectly now !!!!!
on bid dive they have up to 2 minutes difference in stop on using the same Cf (algo)
As I say i they could be as reliable as a suunto or an uwateck god they would be the better computer in the world

Re: 2 computers, or ?

Old Shearwater on the Meg.

Timer and tables

I have a VR3. Don't take it though.

I have a HSE. Had it for 4 years and it still has problems. 10 dives on it. In 3 or 4 years. I lost track. Flood, Electical, Just wont turn on, Deco messed up. I have been told I've had the worst troubles with it then anyone. I've pretty much given up. Bought it new also.

Hope they enjoy'd my money. I haven't enjoy'd the computer. Never working in 3-4 years right. Is pretty ridiculous. I asked for money back last time. I got the computer mailed back. It's been updated every time it was sent back in. But, not really any good to me if it won't turn on for a second dive, looses half it's numbers, gives bad deco numbers, floods, or capacitor turning into a resistor and eating batteries..... At $12 each...

If it worked. I'd be happy. But, it ain't ever worked. To many bugs. And for being a tester for it. I shouldn't have to pay $1400 for it plus the shipping back every time. I pretty much feel like I got completely robbed of my money.... Not a lot of respect for any aspect of them.

Re: 2 computers, or ?

hi

I understand....in a small group of divers in france a few HS explorer computers had problems, gene melton has fixed or changed all of them, sorry that he did not do the same for you.

I bought 2, one had only a badly mounted baterry, the second had a depth sensor calibration problem , the computer was returned to gene that changed it.

so far they work......

I love them at the time and will hate them if they fail......

when it work this computer is fantastic.

what can we do ?

We need rgbm or vpm constant ppo2 trimix computers, returning to tables or run times is impossible for me given my multi-level dives
using an aldanian based computer is difficult for me

The cochran is certainly reliable , but one can't switch from CC to OC.
The VR3 also fails

the Hammerhead has't got a bubble model ok GFs are not bad but they are a rgbm or a vpm algo

So what can we do ?

vr3 vpm or hs explorer...or both....

if threre is any alternative please let me know

regards

jean mi
