Beards - Manly or not?

Following my course with Dave Cooper over the weekend I think we need a poll - Are beards manly or not?

Re: Beards - Manly or not?

Well obviously I am a beard supporter - but it has to be a well groomed number, not a BSAC spacial.

Beards with no tash are wrong.
Chinstrap (Abe Lincoln style) are wrong.
A tash alone is a bit porn-star.

Ahhh, The BSAC special, a definite sub-type that sits between the Captain Pugwash and the Catweazle - usually coming with a gentle frosting of dried bitter and cheese and onion crisps. Normally accompanied by the owner talking about how great the Buddy Commando Stab jacket is and how rebreathers are the devil's own machine.

Stu, have you voted yet?

Its not a beard its;

a. muff velcro
b. a utilitarian mechanism for capturing errant food
c. environmentally friendly avoidance of shaving
d. lazy git in evidence

As the directions on an irish pack of condoms say "insert as appropriate"

I think it's dependant on "which beard" and on which gender you're asking about.

Clean Shaven beavers can be quite the man magnet.

As far as extensive facial hair on men goes, it depends on personal hygeine, there's a lot of Rasta folk here with numerous undiscovered animal species thriving all over them... I gues it could be handy to scare up a mystery snack out of your beard though.

Re: Beards - Manly or not?

My beard is a bit of PITA with my mask, but I look better with it. And it is a nice light red color, just call me Barbarossa! Men should be hairy and women should not...
