| Still Learning.... Current Rebreather/s: | Diving in Los Angeles? My company appears to want to send me to Los Angeles (USA) for about a week sometime between now and middle of August and I started wondering if it might be possible to do a days diving whilst there. I don't know much about diving in that part of the world and wouldn't want to do anything too adventurous (open circuit would be fine) as I'd have to be in work the next day. If anyone can make any suggestions as to where I might go to hire a (dry?) suit and kit, what I might expect to pay and what might be worth diving I'd be interested in hearing from you.

![]() ![]() | Re: Diving in Los Angeles? If you are willing to dive OC and air and Reefseekers Dive Shop in Beverly Hills has a boat going out they can fix you up with everything...including a buddy. Aside from the two salient points, there boats are well run and it would be a good time.I'm not sure who rents CCR aside from SSA in Montclair. You should check with them as they could probably fix you up with one of their boats going out. They usually have a 6 pack going out every other week for training. Stefan might know of other places that rent CCR's. Jerry |

Ask for Karim. I know they rent Drysuits, and OC gear. Pump Nitrox too. Seen a few Rebreather's in the shop, Evo etc. Tobin

Having only two Rebreather quals and air ...Jerry1) Dolphin - not dived with one for a year or two 2) Boris - just got one I thought an OC pootle around would be an easier option that trying to rent/hire a CCR for a day. Thanks for the information folks. Ant S

![]() ![]() | Re: Diving in Los Angeles? It's not quite as daft as it seems Ant, No its not. We have a lot of great dives around here that are very reasonable for OC air diving. I frequently grab a tank of air or nitrox and go for a beach dive. I'm sure you will have a great time. Jerry |
