Lenses recieved back from Axis Optical today, what a stunning company!! Turnaround was about seven working days, cost around sixety squids and I got to keep my own mask.....the lenses were as per my prescription and well made and bonded to the glass faceplate......guess I will see what they are like underwater!!!
This'll really tranform my diving cos I wont keep missing all those stops 'cos I cant read the VR3.......thanks for the recommendation Zak you old dog...onward and downward

Of course the much cheaper option is to just dive with a long stick and some duck taper. When you need to look at your VR3, simply take it off of your arm, tape it on the end of the stick and hold it the correct distance from your face. It works wonders for me!

Kinda like the guys who write their deco schedule on tape and affix it to the top of their fin blades...

Seconded, I wear my lenses to dive in and have done for years; always use daily disposable ones and chuck them away after a dive. You can get a box of 30 over for for less than £1 a pair... not bad really

I did used to have prescription lenses in my mask, but my eyesight is sooo bad, its cheaper and easier to wear my lenses ( -6 and -7.... ouch )

Do they? Anyone tried this out...?

Although I've never had one go missing on a dive, probably because I screw my eyes up so tightly when I take my mask off, they don't have chance to get away. Also, if they did go missing I'd be as blind as a bat

So back-up mask with prescription lenses in, although they must be a couple of prescriptions out of date by now
