I also hate the Rock boots. The Gates has been just as tough as the CF. In wrecks. Never a hole in either. I bought a spare Gates so now I take both with me. They are both heavy. Gates fit perfect off the rack. Got lucky. |

![]() | Re: dui CF200 I just got a USIA aqua pro plus and it's sweet. Really tough and you can flood/soak to clean the whole thing and it dries really fast - you can towel dry it in minutes if you want to. It's also made to custom order with any colors you want for much cheaper than any DUI suit. I've checked out DUI suits before and still can't figure why they're way more expensive than anything else (ESPECIALLY for a custom fit/colored suit). |

![]() | Re: dui CF200 Hello I see posts that reference the Finnish made Ursuit. They are available in the USA but I worry about the availablity of repairs for the suit. Especially front entry zipper repairs. Who does repairs in USA. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: dui CF200 ahh, the dry suit drama , Has anyone else noticed that a lot of people flood their dry suit when taking there Meg course ???? whats up with that , is it some right of passage ? Dui makes a fine suit and I have welded and burned what seemed to be a mile of sheet pile and never had a leak or a problem. Just got new seals, a new zipper (they said it needed one) put on after 9 years. its a Flex 50/50. I have a few other suits and have had no problems with them as-well so I would say go with the one that fits the budget and the application. I had them put on the rock boots and did not like them , Now I use a Chuck Taylor Converse canvas low top and I love them. Cheap too. chuck taylor, now your just sty'lin all the best. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: dui CF200 I dive a DUI flx 50/50... top half tri-lam bottom half CF. works great in cold and in warm waters (pudget sound WA = coldest; hawaii = warmest). I am happy with it, especially since I got in off flea bay for a super bargin... the problem is that I believe my zipper is leaking... got progressively worse on my past 2 diving trips... its actually a very poorly fitted wet suit now, not fun in So Cal waters... brrr brr brrr. So I too am interested in getting a new suit, one that might fit me better. Easy to deal with all that extra material when it was near free!... slight high-jack: anybody have a good idea of the cost of talyoring a DUI suit... hoppy |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: dui CF200 I don't know if its helpful but: I dived a membrane for years and it was fine but too cold i winter no mater what under suit i wore. I got a 03 MSF 500 5mm semi compressed Neoprene and felt comfortable diving in the winter months 90min run times 6-8c using a 200G thinsulate (Santi). I switched to a more flexible 03 Lycra Neoprene suit 5mm compressed and its great. More flexable than the MSF500 but just as warm. Its very very easy to fix and i have never broken a seal in such a way as to make the suit undivable. I had to sow one up once with fishing line but i never bothered getting it repaired after and its still got the fishing line in it to this day I crawl all over wrecks and they are tough suits.HOWEVER they are a sod to dry out and often still damp after a week in the garage(heated 15c). They are bloody heavy my one is 8.5Kg I bought a Membrane (like a twit i got rock boots what a PITA they are but they were trendy so i got some) to travel with. A super light Hammond at 2kg. I have been trying it out and man i had forgotten just how cold membrane suits are. Today in 8c I was shocked how cold it felt. Next time that meme brain comes out of the shed will be Mexico I cant see me going back to a membrane for winter diving in the UK ATB Mark

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: dui CF200 hey paul, my 2 guilder/euro/cents/ the cf200 is a tough suit, but for someone who travels like you do it will always be a damp musty mess. a tls 350 is a nice suit, but not for wreking, its very fragile. excellent for travel. with any dui you want turbo sole boots, theyll do it for extra $$$ i looked at that ursa site, they look like the same material as my suit i was wearing at the class, which is a diving concepts btw. DC makes nice suits but probably a little pricy in europe. did you drop by the dui booth at dema? they do deals for the trade there usually. im sure dick and susan would love to have you in their suit, maybe drop them an email? best, |

I upgraded from a TLS350 due to diving more wrecks and didn't want to shread the TLS. I'm not a big fan of the rockboots and got the turbo soles as they are a lot more comfortable and can easily accommodate different size socks/undersuit combinations.my 2 guilder/euro/cents/ the cf200 is a tough suit, but for someone who travels like you do it will always be a damp musty mess. a tls 350 is a nice suit, but not for wreking, its very fragile. excellent for travel. with any dui you want turbo sole boots, theyll do it for extra $$$ i looked at that ursa site, they look like the same material as my suit i was wearing at the class, which is a diving concepts btw.
