Instructor Listing

Any thoughts or attempts to list instructors for the various rebreathers / specialities on Rebreather World?

Seems like it would be really helpful for newbies (like me) that want to pick-up some training and others interested in getting some additional certs.

You could compile by region / agency / unit / etc. and include some contact info... a photo and a brief biography.

I think this could be a really helpful part of the forum.

Any thoughts?

Its already done on the agency homepages (certainly true for IANTD), so why replicate it?

Normally the best way to find an instructor is by finding people who have similar goals/are doing similar diving and asking their recommendations.

Don't trust the lists!!

The better way is to ask around (as EBT told you) about instructors and how much activity they do usually.

During the last two years I noticed too many people becoming CCR instructors just after, what I think, too poor experience.

Hi,

It's quite difficult to keep a list of Instructors always up-to-date. Some of them don't renew their membership, some move, some are expelled, etc...

Better to contact the training agencies directly or to ask other rebreather divers...
