Andy, simle answer, because jetsam doesn't want to sell me sporty counterlungs. And they don't want to sell me sporty counterlungs because I don't already own them. You first need to own a complete unit before you can order a scrubber/ hose mounts/ counterlungs and any specifically for the sporty moulded parts.
On the other hand, you can buy a kiss valve, dsv, displays, classic lungs and so, all without any problem.

And fredrik's OTS CL's on his ray looked the part, the inspo parts came up affordable, the CL's are black and therefor cool.

No other reasons really.

Denz.

good call, you can always turn the meg housing over and put a peice of round plywood on it with a sheet draped over it, viola, instant coffee table!

Great user name choice!

All of which should be quite easy to understand.

Unless you have a SK scrubber already, why would you need the SK CL which has specific connection to the SK scrubber ? And you are not supposed to be able to buy the SK scrubber alone anyway - which I don't know how you got hold of one.

The rest of the items that Jetsam will sell individually is because people could use them on other units easily.

Re: what you traded for your Rebreather

Hi Phi,

I don't feel it's that easy to understand, since I do own a sportskiss scrubber and hosemounts. And a sportskiss case, a gen 3 kiss valve, DS4's and what else...
StillI can't order CL's to make my sports kiss complete. There about the only part I'm missing.
Was missing that is. Solved it with inspo lungs and loop.

Denz.

PS. Jetsam KISS parts are sometimes, repeat sometimes available 2nd hand. And I've never heard of anyone having to sign a clausule not to sell any part secondhand, weather it's an unused spare, or somebody splitting unit up or for what ever reason.

Denz,

I understand what happened in your case. However, I just put myself in the manufacturer shoe for a moment.

Let's say someone decided to sell his unit by pieces on eBay. One buyer bought the DSV, another bought the scrubber, another bought the hose, another bought the case, etc.

Now, who is owner of the unit and has the right to the warranty (if any) and allow on private owners-only mailing list, etc ? Every single person who bought a piece of the unit ?

I don't know since I am not a Rebreather manufacturer. So it is up to them to decide how the ownership is transferred in such cases. And I am sure it will make someone unhappy about their decision, but it is a business after all.

Again, this is all my opinion and not Jetsam...

If I was Jetsam, I would have sold anything people needed. However, the price will be higher if not for component replacement from unit owners.
