hey Paul, dont think we are picking on you, but there is an ongoing theme in the industry where folks state something like you did "OH, thats easy, I will make one of those" but they havnt done their homework and later realize it way tougher then they thought. Do some searching of the archives and you will see what I mean. Cheers, never stop thinking!!!

yes I fully subscribe to that theory too. It always looks good on paper. When you build it you discover something new and unexpected to really ruin your plans of world domination.
It's also a long way from a coherer detector to to a superhetrodyne if you're expecting miracles overnight.
