Golem Gear (checking if legit)

Does anyone have experience dealing with Jakub R. when making purchases from Golem gear?

I'm prepared to make a 3k$ order for shipping to my location in Borneo. I was given instruction to wire transfer to a bank account that has a name different from Golem Gear.

I trust that if this (Golem) were a reputable establishment, someone here should be able to confirm or not.

I have ordered several products from Jakub, including his new BOV for my meg. All products were received in good order. I wouldn't hesitate to order from him again.

My only (constructive) criticism of Jakub is that he could be slightly more aggressive in letting you know when things ship, but that's a minor issue compared to the quality of products.

I am in total agreement with Tim's comments... I had my first two dives on with the Golem BOV and it's an excellent piece of kit... FYI.... He does frequent this list.

No worries about ordering from Golem. I have not ordered from him, but I will soon purchase a BOV for my Meg from him. I have met him several times, and he is a regular around the Florida caves. He's got a good reputation. Don't hesitate to order from him.

He frequents this board, and goes by the screen name "lof".

I have bought several things from Jakub over the last year or so. One time, something was on back order. So, he emailed me in less than 24 hours from receipt of my Internet payment, asking if I would prefer a refund or to wait the 30 days or so until receipt of the product. Jakub has also been responsive to emails whenever I have had questions both before and after purchase. So, I would have zero concern about doing business with him if I were you.

Productwise, I have had two of his backup (LOLA) lights for about six months now. I have another friend that has been using them for about eight months or so. They are awesome. Great quality and construction. So, I would not have concern about the products if I were you.

I guess that the above sums it up pretty nicely: great service and great products.

Jakub is a great guy. I've purchased the HI booster, Amphibico Phenom housing, BOV and several other things from him the last year. No problems what so ever.
