And how about continued support. LOL...![]() Vaporware now. Cis's cost around $2000 a year to send in for a rebuild. And lock you out if you don't. Don't know any others that do that. And traveling with it now? Fine but you're gonna pay. All that stuff sounds real good if you can get it fixed and get support. Which on the CIS wasn't much of an option for a while. Expensive if you could get it. And if the part was non existent. You're screwed. If they can build one with new deco and smaller package great. But, they ain't even said they were going to build a Rebreather yet. Hey, I'm building a rebreather. Has everything you said. Even your own plane and boat built in to get you there. Runs on a nuclear reactor. Keep waiting for it. LOL The Hammer Meg has some of the things you mentioned. And, there have been a few ordered recently. On and Off Board gas management. A meg has. Hope they come out with a new Rebreather. I'd just like to hear from them that they are. Not someone that thinks they are. We'll see. Oh, and if I remember right. Lot of people sold there CIS to get a Meg... ![]() |

![]() | Re: Cis-Lunar online Thats' not quite true. I've owned a Cis for the past 4 years and have spent practically nothing to keep it going, other than normal CCR costs like sensors etc. I have put close to 2,000 hours on this unit since purchasing it from Tom Mount, who also put a lot of time on this unit. Lock you out?!? Reset the clock, easy. As for travel, it's quite easy if you break it down, not as a complete unit. I've traveled with it all over the world with no problems. I am looking forward to whatever it is that Stone and crew are cooking up. -Brian |

Heard that it had to be sent to the US and get serviced...that would be a 2500 USD affair from Sweden... I e-mailed them yesterday and they replayed straight away...I pointed out some things I like in a rebreather and they said that most of that would be included in what they are coming up with....and then some We will see /Rodge |

They do seem like great units. I was just afraid of something breaking and a custom part would have to be made. Since there aren't a lot of spares around. And I don't like there deco schedule. It is an outstanding unit for Expedition style dives. At least if a Sheerwater dies on a Meg. It get's replaced by Meg. With something. If the Electronics on the CIS dies? Where do you get new ones? Not from CIS. |

![]() | Re: Cis-Lunar online I believe that he sold it because of a lack of further Cis students, nothing to do with the unit itself. I think he got a Meg. As for the deco algorithm, I've had good luck with it down to about 450ft. I've had to learn quit a bit about electronics since getting it, and have made a few minor repairs with guidance from Rich Pyle. There are quite a bit of spare parts left if you know where to find them. -Brian |
