Oxy2 / Air Z on mCCR ?

I've heard differing reports that you can / you can not use the Oxy2 / Air Z combination once you have converted a Dolphin to ccr.

I think one of the sites I saw a while back ( Kim from Denmark ? ) mentioned that he was using this, but needed a nitrox mix ( 32% ?? ) to stop the Oxy2 complaining.

Just read tonight on an intro post that it wasn't a good idea to use the Oxy2 after conversion.

Would be interested in people's comments on this ?

Thanks
Andy

Bubbleboy posted somewhere he tried it and his Uwatec shit itself.

Reason for it is explained in the statement by Uwatec and Dave Crockford below.

Thank you for the .pdf....

I think I'll stick them on Ebay to re-coup some euros for the future conversion of the Dolphin.

Re: Oxy2 / Air Z on mCCR ?

So, is that a "Don't use it!!"

I am getting deco-info that I didn't expect from it.

(Disclainer: My testing is for now limited to two short dives -so it might be completely wrong)

I did keep the O2% between 30 and 40 ca. -and that made the alarm for overexertion beeb only a couple of times. -I guess if I would start off with a high percentage, and then go low, and high again -that would be more "difficult" for it to handle. But keeping it between 30 and 40 is probably what it expects for a scr-dive with 40% and some parts of the dive with high workload

The decoinfo I got from it, was worse (as in not so much no-deco-time) then the backupcomputer, Suunto Gekko -set to air. Did not expect that..

Has anyone else actually used it for this, and knows what happens when you do more interesting things?

And for those who worry; No, I'm not going to dive deep/deco with this thing,as I need more time getting to know it properly, will bring plenty of bailout -and the VR3 is in the process of getting bought..
