Re: Evo Display Irregularity

The display artifact is a known problem with a batch of vision electronics. My understanding is a supplier changed the LCD screen spec. w/o telling any at APD and some of these units slipped past before they corrected the problem. Its not a safety issue and will disappear in temperate water but reappear in warmer water/climate. Contact your dealer and see what they can do for you.

Temperature

Depends on what you call "temperate" Mine sat in my dive room at 17degree C & never dissapeared +AP are still working on a fix for it .Surely if as you say it's a bad batch of lcd screens then the only answer (& the quickest) is to change the screen ,get the unit back to the customer then send the bill to the supplier ?

Evo Display Irregularity

It's just developed on my Inspo Vision - Anyone talked to AP about it?

Thumbs up Evo/Vision Display Irregularity Resolved

Just recieved my head back from APD so 2 weeks 4 days from when I sent it .
Other than what I was told by Tony there is nothing new to add except that the hanset has been replaced at NO cost to me, so that on its own is an addmission that there was/is a fault on some handsets supplied by APD .
My advice to any body with this would be to contact APD via email reporting the problem ,hopefully as with me they will say no problem to wait to return it when your diving dies of for the winter .(I only returned mine as I'm servung a 1 month ban anyway !).At least then you have a record of the reply rather than just a telephone call .
Good luck

My unit had the same problem and I sent it back to AP Valves for replacement under warranty. Ap told me that they had a series of back displays.
