Extended scrubber time

I have a way to make the scrubber time increases by 40%. But the down side is that the cost would be about 5 to 7 dollars a pound US. Would like some feed back on what you think of this idea.

Re: Extended scrubber time

What exactly do you mean "by pound"? Slime?
Sounds interesting.

Re: Extended scrubber time

I would mix the Ca(OH)2 with some other catalytic agents to increases the time. I would have to do some study’s on it first to see if it can be used for rebrether but I do know it works in the lab. I have increase the kinetic rate from 59% to 85%

would those other catalytic agents be OK if you put them on your corn flakes? do they emit any VOC's? are the CO2 adsorb/absorbtion reactions the only reactions that are catalyzed? have you looked at (and compared) the by products of your accelerated reactions in a spectrum analyzer or gas chromatograph?

I am all about it, if you give me some more info I can be a guinea pig!

Re: Extended scrubber time

Of course there would have to be tests and I would have to look at the MS to make sure of everything but I can do that no problem. The why I was using them was just for collecting CO2 in a reaction, not for breathing gases. So I know that there is not secondary reaction with O2, N2 or He but still would have to do some test.
