Hi Allan,

Sorry to insist but you are not right.

it´s not so direct.

in luxfer europe web site don´t have bouyanci details.

the european similar size 10,4 litres - 232 bar - 16 kg weigth when empty it´s 1,65kg positive .

In Europe don´t exist similar caracterictic model.

Hi Allan,

i will check tomorrow.

probably they tested without valves and regulator, and that fact could change everything.

regards

José

Re: Luxfer cilinders

Jose,

The luxfer 80 has been CE approved and is available in various places in europe (DivingNikNaks, DIR-Zone, Tauch und reiseweld).

Its about 207 bar, if you're talking about the same one I think you are.

Re: Luxfer cilinders

Yep, I own a S80 that is CE marked as well as Oxygen and it's fairly neutral in water.
It was bought in Italy.

Re: Luxfer cilinders

Hi guys,

i talked to luxfer directly.

The european model 10,4 litres , 232 bar, weight 16,1kg. ( similar with s80), in water but empty is 1,65kg positive.

BUT they didi the tests without valves and Regulator.

if we put valve and reg ( both +-1,5 kg), the tank will be neutral as s80.

it´s the same caracteristics model.

cheers

José

Re: Luxfer cilinders

Are you sure that's the same one? The length is only 560mm. The US AL80 is listed at 26" ~ 660mm.

I think this might be the small fat 10L bottle that they sell in the UK. I've tried these, they are horrible as stages, really hard to handle.
