traveling to Portland, Oregon Apr 8 thru Apr 16

I hope to get some dives in around a work-trip to
Portland the 2nd week of April (maybe the weekend
of the 8th/9th or 15th/16th; both if I'm lucky).

Any advice on where to go, who to talk to?
I'd welcome travel advice in general, as this
is the first time I'm flying with my inspiration.

I'm thinking I'll need sorb, inspriation-cylinder rental,
charters, that sort of thing. I'm planning on bringing
my base unit, dry suit, maybe a light.

Any local divers that would show a newbie like myself around?

First off, give up any thoughts about diving in Oregon. There is really nothing in the vicinity of Portland and the divers there drive north to Washington and British Columbia. There is good diving in Hood Canal, Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands in Washington that can be reached from Portland with a 2 - 4 hour drive (depending on how far north you go), and absolutely EXCELLENT diving up in BC if you care to drive that far.

You might try to hook up with the crew at Northwest Sport Divers in Kenmore, Washington. They know rebreathers COLD and sell, service and dive the Inspiration and Evolution CCRs. They are often setting up rebreather only dives and trips.

If you contact them ask for Matt (Inspiration) or Dan (Megalodon).

Wow - so much for Portland.
It looks like Washington for me.
I will get in touch with NW SportDivers - thanks for the link!
