Again sorry to hear about your loss!!! I do know how you must be feeling now!

All I can say is that I hope that the unit turns up sooner or later, I take it that you gave all the serial numbers to the local Police?

If so they will place it on a stolen data base, this data base is accessable to all Police Forces. If they come across it they will check against this data base.

Would it be a good idea to notify all the tech dive centres and tech instructors ie the Rich Stevensons/Deep Blue Diving of our world?

I know most will probably see the many postings on this matter but it might help. Also skippers of boats used by tech divers ie Wrighty of Seeker etc?

I'm still feeling quite sick on your behalf knowing how upset all CCR divers would be if their unit had been stolen. Of course uninsured the money's a big thing but I'd also have to wait many months for a new Vision so my diving this year would be completely screwed.

It's prompted me to decide to ring Divemaster Insurance Consultants Ltd to arrange insurance on my unit which I was going to do when I bought my Vision last September.

We've never spoken, pmed or met but I am happy to kick off with £100 towards the "Help replace Ian's stolen Boris" Fund. Can/will others also help?
A substantial no questions asked reward might do the trick, happy for my contribution to go towards that.

£1000 reward is surely more than these prats will get otherwise?

I'm hoping the thief is the adventurous type... Fills both tanks with air and takes the Boris diving along with all the camera gear. Justice served. No long trial and you get your kit back when pull his worthless carcass off the bottom. Of course, he won't be certified and then comes the enormous thread about proper training and the right to off one's self etc.

I can't wait!
