Inspiration Vision Servicing

Hi All,

I am trying to plan for servicing costs on a vision unit and am wondering if people tend to do there own servicing or send their units back to AP?

I have seen another thread on the subject but am interested to know if this home servicing can be completed on a vision box or are there major differences in these areas that prevent a user from doing them.
I have 10 months to wait so I have to do something with my time

Any info greatly appreciated.

Best wishes

Dave

Re: Inspiration Vision Servicing

Well you can change the cells and the batteries.
you can strip and clean / lube the unit
you can service the regs or have serviced by LDS
same with the cylinders

It goes back to AP to have the lid serviced.

I sent my scrubber back when it all came unglued but I've serviced everything else myself, even the first stages. The only bit that gave me trouble was the Autoair which once had to be soaked in release stuff for a couple of days before the wing inflater bit came apart.
I carry the tools and O-ring kits with me so I feel safe but I've never had to fix something live on a trip yet.
