![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Rebreather Migration When I bought my Meg I was told that the bulk of Meg purchasers, like me, were existing CCR owners that had realised the benefits the Meg has over other units. Since then I have continued to see the migration of Inspo, Prism, KISS and Mk 15.5 owners to the Meg but none moving the other way. Does anyone know of a Meg owner that has sold their unit to purchase something else? If they exist, what did they buy and why?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Rebreather Migration I know that Ammers sold her YBOD to get a KISS ??? Megs are last years "in thing" with the Boris taking over top spot at the moment. Personally I would go for the Meg because its so easy to travel with compared to the standard YBOD or even the Boris. However, since switching to the Travel Frame for the YBOD I am less inclined to fork over the cash for the Meg. The legendary build quality of the meg is its main selling point but they still haven't sorted out the electronics in a way I am happy with. The Sherwood package was damed expensive and not without problems. I am told recent Sherwood package users are getting Apex upgrades as soon as they become available but i don't know if this is a general thing. I certainly like the design of the meg but I hope they sort out the apparent faf required to calibrate the dammed thing when they finish the Apex head. So working straight out of the box I would go for the standard Meg/Apex package but not the full in line deco stuff. I hope it would e more reliable than my YBOD because the niggles on that are making me seriously consider going down the KISS path. ATB Mark Chase
