| Silent diver ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Ouroboros, the continuous adventure... Hi today meeting at 8,00 for the preparation of the rebreather. Analysis of gases, assembly hoses, check pre-diving, comprised pre-breathing, 18 min. In effects the list of the operations, thanks to the guide of the monitor, continues fast, allows you to concentrate on every point, without the risk to forget something. We arrive at the port, but there are 120 km of wind, therefore wepospone the dive to the 13,00. at 13 the wind is lower but they are still 60 km, therefore also today dive on the Ramon Membru. I repeate the tests, in way more express than this morning, but I do again pre-breathing, the passed time 9 min. I have still removed 1 kg, nevertheless i'm still heavy. During the dive I try to swim very fast, in order to see what happens under effort. Perfect, it does not change absolutely nothing. I have taken the comfortable abitude to isolate the ADV as soon as arrived on the bottom, and the buoyancy and the trim are perfect. I become accustomed myself to the HEAD-up DISPLAY, and I succeed in undestand it with facility. After 50 min an alarm, I watch the monitor: low stack. it's the alarm that I have used the sofnolime more than 150 min. Within in the menu, and I eliminate the vibration to that type of alarm. It marks continues to flash on the HUD, but the vibration is interrupted for 30 min. They are forced to empty for 3 or 4 times the hoses from water inisde its. Strange, in the previous immersions this had not been necessary. Moreover I perceive an discomfort to the lips, I try to move tie that the fix a mouthpiece , but the annoyance continuous . We go back after beyond 90 minuteren, trying anticipating with manual oxygen injection the fall of the pO2. When we arrives to the base, I take off the canister, and inside I find a some water, that it has partially bathed the sofnolime. I chek the mouthpiece but nothing broken. To a careful examination I notice that the support where it comes inserted the mouthpiece, it has of the corners pointed, here the reason of the discomfort to the lips. Tomorrow morning i'll use abrasive paper to elimitate its. Positive day, the units have worked perfectly and the dive, excluding the cold, has been a pleasure. I appreciate the Boris more and more, but I'm curious to return to the MEG to estimate the differences better. Tomorrow last day of training, but after the dive i'll go immediately in Italy to prepare the dive show, therefore no post about this day. Thank for your time and patience for my english. All the best Aldo ![]()

![]() ![]() | Re: Ouroboros, the continuous adventure... Hi Aldo, Very good progress, i´m very hapy. just some explanation, the stack alarm starts at 180 min not 150min. plase try to check ( because sometimes hapens - for me the worst problem of the unit), if you have some dust or part of some granule of sofnolime, under the rubber menbrane of your exaust valve in counterlung. During transport / by boat etc, and even during normal breathing ( less possibility), some very small particals of sofnolime could pass throuthg the scrubber net and go inside of exaust counterllung, and sometimes they stay under the rubber menbrane of exaust valve, and leaks after long dives or repetetive dives. try to feel the redundancy and smoth and soft injections of 02, and dil too. good luck José |

The stack alarm on all 3 units start at 150 min, i'm shure. May be in your old units it's different All the best. Aldo PS when i came back from dive show i send to you a pre inscription for for Sardinia next october. ![]()

Quickly: To avoid dust: 1) hoover around the canister after packing 2) or via direct system and a "soufflette" flush under air pressure all the dust, you'll be surprise of all the shitty dust of the sofnolime better out in the air instead of in your lungs ![]() PS: Aldo, your unit is too shiny, come cave diving to scratch it a bit in narrowness ![]() Good day Jerome |
