| Custom Title Allowed! Current Rebreather/s: | drying the loop Hi all- Just wondering if anyone has any tricks for efficiently drying out the loop? I have no issues with the CLs, just the corrugated breathing loop. It seems no matter how I hang it, the ridges trap water and I have to shake out numerous times over numerous days, and still does not appear to get 100% dry. Just wondering if this may present a nice bacteria/fungi breeding ground...especially after I look at the gunk on the inside of my mask ![]() Cheers, Mike |

That will "squeeze" the water out and drip out on the bottom. Then hang them vertically to drip the remaining water off. I make a bungie look to fit over one end of each hose to hang them over the bathtub.

![]() | Re: drying the loop Mike - have you been shown how to squeeze the hoses tight like "vertical accordeon" - every segment separately - that will get all the water out and just hang them when not used. We also hang our CL upside down to allow for any left over H2O to drip out. What do you use to "desinfect"? I use betadine and that pretty much "kills" the gunk... Hey - I didn't know you were on Rebreather now - what kind? Cheers, Jitka |

I found that they took an age to dry if horizontal but vertical about 6" away from a radiator works well (I guess the air currents go up the hoses). |
