![]() | Red Sea temps? Hi Folks Off to Sharm at the end of the week, & wondered if anyone who's been recently can give me an idea as to the water & air temp. Still wondering whether to take the wet or dry suit? Cheers Giles |

![]() | Re: Red Sea temps? Thanks folks, have decided to take the wetsuit, weight limit a bit tight & that's kind of been the deciding factor. Anywhere's got to be warmer than here at the moment Cheers Giles. |

![]() | Re: Red Sea temps? Hi Folks Ok, if anyone's going to Sharm in the next few day's/weeks, a drysuit would be overkill. I took a 5mm semi-dry & it was plenty warm enough, about 23*C - 24*C. Daytime temps are also warm enough for t shirt & shorts, & in the evening you could easily sit outside without having to wear a fleece or jumper. However there was one downside, we eventually got back in the early hours of Monday morning, apparently president Mubarrak (or however you spell his name) decided he wanted a preview of the forth coming air show & so shut the airport meaning no planes could land or take off. We eventually took off 2 1/2hrs late ![]() It wouldn't have been too bad if we'd had some info on what was going on from the airport staff, but I think it would have been more useful if I'd taken a crystal ball Isn't it great to visit such a modern country Never mind, it was a good week anyway Cheers Giles. |
