Appropriate bribes

Thought I'd post this up here, as with all the experience lurking on this board, I'm sure that there is someone who has solved this problem before

So tell me, what is the appropriate bribe when you've just been caught at the kitchen sink, cleaning the accumalated limestone off your scrubber, using vinegar and your SO's electric toothbrush?

it could be enough to

or you might have to

but be carefull or you'll end up

Hmm, bit of a sticky situation there mate. I would say that you might have got away with it if it hadnt been for the toothbrush.
Two ways this could go;
1, A significant bribe works and you will be out of pocket and stood by the sink for other reasons for a short while.
2, Your toothbrush will be used on the porcelain telephone, you may or may not find out about this. She will let you know if its that bad.

Try taking her shopping for clothes, they all know what a painful experience she-clothes shopping is and this may be seen as time served. Just incase you dont realise it, use your money for the shopping. It wont have th esame effect if she has to pay for her own rags.

I think just get a new woman,

Its ovious this one is broken, trade her in for a new model, and one who is into Rebreather's or at least understands where she is in the whole "Diving Vrs Woman"

Or .... sign her up at "Divingwidows.com" for a year, at least she will have someone to whinge too.

first of all I'm glad you're in a condition that you can still post for help.

You realize you foolishly exposed yourself to a serious hit of hyperspousia.

And the thread is not over yet!

Shopping is good, definitely up a step from chocolates and flowers, which
would not suffice in such a grave situation ...

... but as a diver you
should always have an alternate plan available for bailout.

Maybe a day at the spa ...

... women like to be pampered.
If you time it right she'll be there next time you'll clean your gear.

Furthermore, I highly recommend contacting Skeletor for advice.
He rigged this subsonic O2 bath last year and been posting since.
Leads me to believe he has experience with serious bouts of hyperspousia.

PS: Make sure you'll buy her a new toothbrush, too.

I think you got that the wrong way round, surely he is close to Hypospousia but then every cloud has a silver lining - later he gets rewarded with Hyperspousia.

A bribe? Are you mad man? Surly a better solution than frittering away coin of trinkets in the hope they will stop her complaining and possibly get you some lovin' would be to procure a large ultrasonic cleaner. Shoes and handbags are only good for crushing your dignety and keeping your nuts in.

The older married guys will back me up.

The way I see it : the scrubber was dirty and you used the best available tool. Kudos!

That could be part of the problem as well, we'd just gone for a dive (shallow, to test out leaking bucket) and had the following discussion;
SHMBO: What do you do for bailout on the rebreather
Me: No problem, I've got this air 2 thingy
SHMBO: So what about me?
Me: There's a whole sky full of air 8 metres above you - that's closer than I normally am anyway

I like the ultrasonic cleaner idea - and I really have the perfect excuse now anyway. "But honey, you didn't like me using your toothbrush, I was just thinking of you". Well done Steve. It's not like I was getting any for the next couple of days anyway...
