Hello Gabriele,

When are you coming over? And where in Belgium will you be situated?

Don't bother...

(lived and dived for 4 years in Belgium)

Phi,

This is really not nice of you. Belgium is a paradise for divers. It's so great I always drive to The Netherlands to dive

Not that The Netherlands are that much better; Zeeland has some nice spots, everything else is even worse than here: especially the beer.

I absolutely hate to dive in Zeeland for the simple fact that they have the best-looking lobsters in the world there u/w, but if you are caught with one, everything from the diving gear to the car taking you to the site will be confiscated...
It is a long way to walk back to Belgium...

Plus I had a permanent h@rd-@n the entire time I dived there looksing all those juicy lobsters, and it was very uncomfortable with the P-valve...

And I don't care how many people will disagree with me, but the Belgian beers are the GREATEST...

(based on limited experience of only tasted over 300 different Belgian beers in 4 years of living there)

Re: Belgium CCR divers

I know of a guy who was always lugging big doubles around, and he used a HUGE quantity of air. We found out a couple of months later that his left cylinder was a fake - he cut away the bottom, stuffed lobsters in and used the cylinder boot as a cover

He did get caught though... probably had a snitch in his diving club.

We do take lobsters (and other tasty things) on the North Sea - problem is that I reserve every year 10 to 15 trips, and my chosen trips nearly always get cancelled due to bad weather...

I never had a chance to dive there since they open right after we left Belgium.

Well, the dive site with the best visibility in Belgium. for sure...
