How many we have now ? 10 or 12 or 20 ? everybody is building rebreathers, very special for this small market

IMHO, OTS design is a cop-out since it is so easy to build. I wish someone would try to design a BM design like the MK-15. Boris comes close, but I am still wondering about the size issue.

All of the "new" Rebreather units are looking just about the same as each other. The only difference is how to add O2, and that's even copying from either the KISS (mCCR) or YBOD (soenoid) per-say.

Yes, but how many are really good units though.

Take a look at the Rebreather-80-clone market! I have lost track of how many there are out there...

Yes thats true, I like the BM design also more than the OTS. The BM gives more freedom on the chest.

yes thats the next question, which one is really good.
I think bets to watch the market, for me in europe is it also important the units has CE marking (I can sell and teach them).

the Rebreather-80-clone market is now in a price battle (you get some now down to 3000 Euro). there are clones from clones from clones and every maker says his is better in details than the others

It would make sense, if you were copying a design you would only copy the good bits, and improve on the not so good bits.

What doesn't make sense is a new and 'improved' model costs less than the old one!

Hi GKAM, i've just niticed your in Greece.
My dad lives in Kos, but tells me their isn't much diving to be done because of local brurocracy, can you give me a bit of a lo-down on the situation?

I allready don't see much of him, and it doesn't 'sound' like things are going to improve much.

Is the Ouroborus that big? Or do you mean that heavy? From what I see it isn't a monster.

What exactly can you suggest that would make a CCR THAT different. After all all you need is O2, diluent, counterlung(s) and a scrubber (O2 controler/monitor optional ). Maybe Kevin Gurr or Martin Parker should go have a chat with Pininfarina?

Ergonomics has always been an issue with me but I rarely see it high on a designer's list of things to do.

Rebreather-80 clone? You imply they were the first to design that type of rebreather, I believe you are very much mistaken.
