![]() | Re: Diving with OC buddy The main things that I can think of is my PPO2, so a few squirts on the way to the surface may be a good thing to tell an OC buddy (if they cant see your displays) and your buoyancy, as long as they can grasp the idea of how these things change with depth the only pain about diving with an OC buddy is they have to cut the dive short due to limited gas. I have a kiss, so at least they can swap me from CC to OC if needed without taking my mouthpiece out. |

Same here.I explain them what they need to do, in case something happens to me. As I always take a bailout, I can also assist them if they need. Anyway I only dive with an OC buddy in shallow dives |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Diving with OC buddy Give a short explanation of how your rebreather works and bailout procedures. The biggest thing is to go over how you will handle him in an out of air situation and make sure you have enough bailout gas to handle it. Never count on a buddy for anything other than bailout gas and company on the dive. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Diving with OC buddy I've never had a CCR buddy since I finished MOD1. I tell them to check that the loop is still in my mouth and explain how to flush the loop. Then it's head for the surface. I tend to dive solo and the only OC buddies that I have had have been very expeienced divers. |
